Glazed Apple Pie
The perfect glazed apple pie recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
Dough:
- 250 g Butter or margarine
- 200 g Sugar
- 1 packet Vanilla sugar
- 5 Eggs
- 100 ml Buttermilk
- 250 g Flour
- 2 tsp Baking powder
Covering:
- 700 g Wash apples, peel, quarter, remove core + cut into wedges
- 700 g Lemon juice
- 200 g Coarsely chop walnuts
Glaze:
- 150 g Peach or apricot jam / jam
- 150 g Apple jelly
- 150 g Lemon juice
- Beat all the ingredients for the dough in a mixing bowl to a smooth batter and spread on a greased baking sheet.
- Mix the apples and a little lemon juice in a bowl so they don’t turn brown.
- First distribute the apples and then the nuts evenly on the dough and bake in the preheated oven (fan oven 160 ° C) for 50-60 minutes.
- Meanwhile, liquefy the jam and jelly in a saucepan on the stove at a low temperature, stir in a little lemon juice and spread it on the cake while it is still hot.
