Glazed Apple Pie

The perfect glazed apple pie recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

Dough:

  • 250 g Butter or margarine
  • 200 g Sugar
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 5 Eggs
  • 100 ml Buttermilk
  • 250 g Flour
  • 2 tsp Baking powder

Covering:

  • 700 g Wash apples, peel, quarter, remove core + cut into wedges
  • 700 g Lemon juice
  • 200 g Coarsely chop walnuts

Glaze:

  • 150 g Peach or apricot jam / jam
  • 150 g Apple jelly
  • 150 g Lemon juice
  1. Beat all the ingredients for the dough in a mixing bowl to a smooth batter and spread on a greased baking sheet.
  2. Mix the apples and a little lemon juice in a bowl so they don’t turn brown.
  3. First distribute the apples and then the nuts evenly on the dough and bake in the preheated oven (fan oven 160 ° C) for 50-60 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, liquefy the jam and jelly in a saucepan on the stove at a low temperature, stir in a little lemon juice and spread it on the cake while it is still hot.
  5. Let everything cool down and enjoy.
