Golden millet with cherries

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 cup millet
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 150 g cherry(s), fresh
  • 100 g almonds, sliced

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Rinse the golden millet under running water in a sieve and bring to a boil with the water, cherries, sugar, and cinnamon. Then let it swell in a covered pan. Then add the almond flakes. Tip: It can be served with vanilla sauce, but it tastes delicious on its own. Other fruits can also be cooked with the dish, or added after it has cooled.
