Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 125 g margarine
  • 120 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 250 g flour
  • ½ pack of baking powder
  • 100 ml milk
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

light, simple, delicious

Enough for a loaf pan; if you want it taller, please double the ingredients. Also great for muffins and Donauwelle (a type of cake). Combine the margarine with sugar, vanilla sugar, and eggs in a bowl and beat until fluffy. Mix the flour with the baking powder and add to the foam mixture alternately with the milk. Divide the batter into another bowl and then stir in the cocoa powder into one bowl. Pour into a buttered loaf pan and bake at 170°C (350°F) for about 40-45 minutes (depending on the oven).
