Green tomato jam with ginger

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg tomatoes, green (unripe)
  • 1 kg gelling sugar
  • 2 ginger, pickled bulbs
  • 2 tbsp ginger syrup
  • 3 cloves

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest period approx. 1 day; Total time approx. 1 day 15 minutes

for 3 glasses of 1/2 l each

Wash the tomatoes and cut into strips. Mix with the preserving sugar, diced ginger, ginger syrup, and cloves. Let stand for 24 hours. Bring to a boil while stirring and simmer for 4 minutes (check if the jam is done). Remove the cloves and pour the jam into jars while still hot, sealing immediately.
