Grilled tomatoes

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 4 m.-sized tomatoes
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp thyme, freshly chopped or dried
  • 1 tsp breadcrumbs
  • 1 small onion(s), grated
  • Salt and pepper, black, from the mill

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Wash the tomatoes and cut a cross-shaped incision about 1/3 of the way up the top. Mix the oil with thyme, breadcrumbs, onion, salt, and pepper. Brush this mixture onto the cut surfaces of the tomatoes. Grill in the preheated grill until a crust forms on top. Tastes great with all kinds of grilled meat.
