Ham and Cheese Puffs

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 125 ml milk
  • 1 egg(s), beaten
  • 150 g flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 250 g cheese, grated (e.g. Gouda)
  • 4 slices of cooked ham (approx. 135g total)
  • 200 g onion(s), peeled
  • pepper
  • Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

small ham and cheese snacks, makes about 50 pieces

Whisk together the milk and egg. Chop the onions and ham as finely as possible. Now add all the ingredients to the milk and egg mixture and mix well with your hands. Season with salt and pepper. If you like, you can add a few chopped herbs. Grease a baking tray well and drop the mixture onto the tray one heaped tablespoon at a time. I don’t recommend using baking paper in this case, as experience has shown that the batter tends to stick to it. Leave some space between the pieces, as the batter will still spread a little. Bake at 200°C (top/bottom heat) for approx. 20-25 minutes, until golden brown. Let the bites rest briefly on the tray, then carefully loosen them with a knife and place them on a wire rack. Let them cool on the rack or enjoy them warm.
