Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 pack of frozen puff pastry (6 sheets)
  • 75 g double cream
  • 150 g crème fraîche
  • 150 g cooked ham, sliced
  • 200 g cheese, grated (Gouda)
  • salt and pepper
  • Sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

A hearty snack, makes 12 puff pastry parcels

Thaw the puff pastry sheets and cut them in half. Cut the ham into small pieces, mix with the double cream, crème fraîche, and 150g Gouda cheese, and season with salt, pepper, and sugar. Fold the sheets together and seal on two sides to form a pocket. Fill each pocket with a little of the ham and cheese mixture and seal the pockets tightly. Place the pockets on baking paper on a wire rack and sprinkle with the remaining cheese. Bake in an oven preheated to 200°C on the middle rack for 15 minutes until golden brown. Caution! The filling will be very hot immediately after baking!
