Hazelnut Chocolate Cake

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 g hazelnuts, ground
  • 5 eggs
  • 100 g butter, soft
  • 300 g sugar
  • 80 g cocoa powder
  • Fat, for the shape
  • Flour , for the shape
  • e.g. powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Separate the eggs. Beat the softened butter and 200g of sugar until fluffy, then stir in the egg yolks. Mix the nuts and cocoa powder and stir in. Beat the egg whites until stiff, then add the remaining sugar and continue beating for about 3 minutes. Fold the mixture into the nut mixture in portions. Grease and flour a 24cm springform pan (tap out any excess flour) and pour in the batter. Bake on the second rack from the bottom for about 45 minutes at 180°C. For a 26cm springform pan, reduce the baking time by about 10 minutes. After baking, let cool, remove from the pan, and dust with powdered sugar if desired.
