Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 100 g butter, melted
- 200 g sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp clove(s), whole
- 1 tsp cardamom
- 100 g candied lemon
- 100 g candied orange peel
- 100 g raisins
- 200 g almond(s), ground
- 250 g flour
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 125 ml milk
- Wafers (baking wafers, round or square)
Instructions
Working time approx. 35 minutes; Rest period approx. 1 day; Total time approx. 1 day 35 minutes
Roughly mix the first nine ingredients, from the butter to the raisins, and then mince. Now add the remaining ingredients and mix into the mixture. Spread the batter on wafers. Let the gingerbread rest for about 24 hours. Bake in a preheated oven at 150°C (300°F) on the middle rack until golden brown. Once cooled, frost with liquid cake glaze, if desired.
