Homemade basil vinegar

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 7 stalks of basil
  • ½ tsp black peppercorns
  • 100 ml vinegar (vinegar essence)
  • 400 ml white wine or light grape juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

Wash the basil, shake dry, and place it in a bottle or carafe with the peppercorns. Pour vinegar essence and white wine or light grape juice over it. Seal the container and let it steep for 4-5 days. Remove the basil if necessary and replace it with fresh leaves. It goes well with tomato salad, green salad, or Caprese (tomatoes with mozzarella and basil).
