  • 1 slice(s) Leberkäse, red, thick slice, approx. 300 – 400 g
  • 3 m.-large gherkin(s), crispy
  • 3 tsp capers
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 glasses of mayonnaise (salad mayonnaise, approx. 350 ml each)
  • some salt and pepper
  • some sweet cream or condensed milk
  • chives, cut into rings

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

a bit time-consuming, but it’s worth it!

Finely dice the diet sausage, Leberkäse, and gherkins. Finely dice the capers and onion. Finely chop or press the garlic. Combine all ingredients (if you don’t like capers, simply omit them), season gently with salt, as the mayonnaise is already somewhat salty. If the mayonnaise isn’t creamy enough, add the sweet cream or condensed milk slowly, mixing well to give the sausage salad a nice consistency. If you like chives, you can mix in a little. Finish with freshly ground pepper. Serve with fresh crusty bread and beer. You can also make a pasta salad with these ingredients or with leftover salad. If you want to make a pasta salad, use only about 100–150 g of diet sausage and Leberkäse each, and mix well with 250 g of cooked pasta.
