Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 500 ml milk
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 bag(s) of pudding powder (chocolate pudding powder)
  • ½ tsp red pepper, coarsely ground
  • 3 pear(s), ripe
  • 3 tbsp mascarpone, heaped tbsp
  • 3 tbsp hazelnuts, chopped and roasted
  • 2 tbsp honey, liquid
  • Cinnamon – sugar
  • Sauce (caramel or chocolate sauce) for decoration

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Chocolate pudding with stuffed pear

Mix the pudding mix with the sugar and a little cold milk until smooth. Bring the remaining milk to a boil, then add the mixed mix while stirring. Bring everything to a boil. Season with red pepper. Rinse the dessert bowls with cold water and divide the finished pudding between the bowls. Wash the pears, halve them, and remove the stem, blossom, and core. Cut a small foot into the curve of the pears so they sit flat on the baking sheet and the filling doesn’t run out later. Mix the mascarpone, hazelnuts, and honey and spread them over the pear halves. Sprinkle a generous layer of cinnamon and sugar over the filling. This will create a lovely crust when baked. Bake the pears at 180°C for about 20 minutes. If the pears are very ripe, pay attention to their consistency; they shouldn’t stay in the oven for too long, otherwise they will become mushy. When the pears are ready, simply arrange them on top of the pudding and garnish with caramel or chocolate sauce.
