Hot chocolate, simple yet completely different from usual

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 bar of chocolate, to taste, milk, dark or white, NO couverture
  • 1 jar milk, frothed hot
  • Sugar or other sweetener, amount to taste

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Melt the chocolate in a double boiler and spread a thick layer of it on the inside of a latte macchiato glass using a brush. Then add the frothed hot milk. Sweeten to taste; it also depends a little on the type of chocolate and your taste. The chocolate will now melt very slowly. When drinking, run a long-handled spoon up the rim of the glass and you’ll have chocolate on the spoon with milk froth on top. Super tasty and a great alternative to traditional hot chocolate. The icing on the cake is when you use two different types of chocolate. I once brushed the glass with dark chocolate and then white chocolate. Very tasty and a visual highlight too.
