Hot orange fillets à la Gabi

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 oranges, organic
  • 4 tbsp almond flakes
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 100 ml water
  • 1 tsp cornstarch

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Goes well with many types of ice cream

Grate the zest of one orange and squeeze out the juice. Peel the remaining oranges until the white pith is removed, then segment them, reserving any juice. Toast the almond flakes in a nonstick pan without fat until golden brown. Bring the orange juice, zest, sugar, and water to a boil. Stir in the cornstarch dissolved in a little water and bring to a boil. Add the orange segments to the sauce while it is still simmering and heat through. Serve sprinkled with almond flakes.
