Christmas cookies
Combine the first five ingredients in a bowl with a mixer. Form four Striezerl (stuffed pastry) on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper (don’t worry, they’ll be a bit sticky) and brush with egg. Bake in a preheated oven at medium heat (approx. 175°C/350°F) until light brown. Once cooled, cut into approximately 1 cm wide strips. These Hausfreunde will keep for a long time in cookie tins.
