Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 4 sandwich rolls or pita bread
  • 300 g cream cheese, natural
  • 1 bunch of chives
  • 3 small onions, red
  • 300 g mushrooms, brown
  • 1 pack of bacon (100 g)
  • 100 g mountain cheese, grated
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup

Slice the mushrooms. Cut the chives into small rounds. Chop the onion. Mix the cream cheese with salt, pepper, and chives. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Fry the bacon in a pan over low heat until crispy. Remove from the pan and drain on kitchen paper. Brown the sliced ​​mushrooms in the remaining fat in the pan, then remove from the pan. Sauté the chopped onions in the same pan (with a little oil if desired), then add the maple syrup and let them caramelize. Place bread, sandwiches, pita bread, or whatever you like in the oven and toast until light brown. Spread the sandwiches with the cream cheese and sprinkle with the grated cheese. Then layer the mushrooms, onions, and bacon on top, close the sandwiches, and enjoy!
