Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 75 g butter
- 200 g desiccated coconut
- 180 g condensed milk
- n. B. Food coloring, red (approx. a few drops)
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Melt the butter in a large saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly. Add the desiccated coconut and continue stirring. Add the condensed milk and food coloring (if using) and continue stirring for about 7-10 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and let the mixture cool slowly. Then, once at room temperature, shape the mixture into blocks and cut into equal-sized rectangles or slices. Let the coconut slices rest for 1 hour and then serve.
