  • ½ liter of water
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 42 g yeast
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 600 g flour

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Whisk together about 400 ml of water and the cornstarch in a saucepan. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly, then let it cool to a comfortable temperature. Allow the remaining water to become lukewarm, pour it into a cup, and crumble in the yeast. Dissolve the yeast in it while stirring. Combine the dissolved yeast, the water thickened with cornstarch, and the salt with the flour in a large bowl and knead everything into a smooth, supple dough. Let the dough rise well (about 30 minutes). Then shape it into rolls and let it rise again (about 15 minutes). Bake in the oven at 200°C (fan oven) until golden brown.
