Crack the eggs into a bowl and add the ham and cheese. Season with pepper, salt, ketchup, Tabasco, and cayenne pepper. Stir in the finely chopped herbs. Heat a little butter in a pan and fry the diced onions. Then pour the egg mixture into the pan and fry, stirring constantly, until it is no longer runny. Sprinkle some freshly ground pepper on a plate, place the scrambled eggs on top, and season with more pepper. Arrange the onion rings and basil leaves on top.
