Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 onions
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 250 g minced meat
  • 1 tsp tomato paste
  • 250g mozzarella
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 can of dough (chilled fresh dough)
  • Salt and pepper, white
  • Flour for the baking sheet

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Preheat oven to 200°C (175°C fan/gas mark 3). Peel onions and slice into thin rings. Heat oil in a pan. Fry minced meat and onions until crumbly. Stir in tomato paste. Season with salt and pepper, if desired. Drain mozzarella and cut into thin slices. Clean tomatoes and also cut into thin slices. Remove dough pieces from the tin, break them apart, and flatten them individually on a floured baking sheet. Arrange tomatoes, minced meat, and mozzarella on top. Sprinkle with thyme. Bake the minced meat rolls in a preheated oven (180°C) for 15-20 minutes.
