Javanese clove tea

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 tbsp black tea
  • 1 stalk(s) cinnamon
  • 10 carnations
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 100 ml orange juice
  • 1 liter of water

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

Bring 1 liter of water to a boil. Add the cinnamon stick and cloves and simmer for about 10 minutes. Add the black tea and let it steep for as long as you like (I always do it for about 3 minutes). Add the sugar, then the orange juice. It tastes great chilled in the summer – but I also like to drink the tea hot in the fall and winter.
