Juicing grapes

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 ½ kg grapes
  • 1 liter of water
  • Sugar, optional

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

for the 6 litre pressure cooker

Wash the grapes and discard any that are less than optimal. Pour water into the bottom of the pressure cooker (if the minimum is higher, add a little more water). Insert the steamer insert and add the grapes up to about the MAX line. If you want to drink the juice, sprinkle sugar over it straight away. Close the pressure cooker and let it steam. Once level 2 is reached, let it juice for 15 minutes. Allow the steam to evaporate. Remove the fruit without squeezing, otherwise the juice will become very cloudy. Strain the juice again through a fine sieve or run it through a coffee filter. Bottle while hot or process further, e.g. to make jelly or jelly.
