Ingredients

Mixing batter for a baking pan 26cm in diameter

  • 100 g Butter
  • 100 g Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 100 g Sifted flour
  • 1 Teaspoon (level) Baking powder

Covering and casting

  • 2 Apples
  • 2 cups Cream
  • 3 Eggs size M
  • 3 teaspoon Vanilla sugar

Instructions

  • Peel and quarter the apples and remove the core. Then cut the apple quarters into thin wedges as desired. Depending on the type of apple, you can or should pre-cook the apple wedges a little.
  • Beat the butter until smooth and gradually stir in the sugar and eggs.
  • Fold in the flour mixed with the baking powder, tablespoon at a time. Pour the mixture into a baking pan with a diameter of 26 cm and cover with the apple wedges.
  • Bake at about 170 ° C on the middle rack for about 30 minutes. IMPORTANT is No. 5 !!!
  • IMPORTANT: To make the cake nice and juicy, whisk the 2 cups of cream with the 3 eggs and the vanilla sugar and pour it over the cake about 15-20 minutes before the end of the baking time. Then you bake the cake for the remaining 10-15 minutes!
  • My picture shows the baking tray variant with double to triple the amount of dough!
