Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g butter or margarine
  • 200 g sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 125 g flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 200 g hazelnuts, ground
  • 100 g drink powder, e.g. Kaba
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup eggnog
  • Fat, for the shape
  • e.g. chocolate glaze or powdered sugar for decoration

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Beat the butter, sugar, and eggs until fluffy. Combine the flour, baking powder, hazelnuts, cocoa powder, vanilla sugar, and cinnamon and briefly stir into the egg custard, alternating with the egg liqueur. Pour the mixture into a greased loaf pan and bake at 160°C (top/bottom heat) for about 45 minutes. Cover the cooled cake with chocolate glaze or sprinkle with powdered sugar, if desired.
