Kaiserbraten with pineapple

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg Kasseler (Kaiserbraten), sliced
  • 1 large can of pineapple slices
  • 500 g breadcrumbs
  • 150 g flour for breading
  • 4 m.-sized eggs
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder, sweet
  • 200 g Emmental cheese, grated
  • 1 pack of frying fat

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Cut the meat into slices. Drain the pineapple. Whisk the eggs with pepper, paprika, and salt, then mix the breadcrumbs with the grated Emmental cheese. First coat the meat in flour and shake off any excess. Then add it to the egg mixture, followed by the breadcrumbs and cheese. Repeat with the pineapple. Heat the oil and fry the meat first, then the pineapple in batches for about 5 minutes. Depending on the thickness of the slices, place a slice of pineapple on each piece of Kaiserbraten and serve. Tip: You can also pre-fry it and then keep it warm in the oven.
