Kiwi-banana jam with banana liqueur

Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 200 g banana(s), (peeled)
  • 800 g kiwi(s), (peeled)
  • 1 lemon(s)
  • 500 g gelling sugar, 1:2
  • 4 tbsp banana liqueur

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 4 hours; Total time approx. 4 hours 20 minutes

Slice the bananas thinly. Peel the kiwis thinly, slice them finely, and add them to the bananas. Pour over the lemon juice. Mix with the gelling sugar and let stand, covered, for 3-4 hours. Roughly puree the fruit with a hand blender. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, and simmer for 3 minutes. Then add the banana liqueur. Bring back to a boil briefly. Immediately pour the jam into jars and turn upside down for 5 minutes to create a vacuum around the lid. This recipe yields 5 jars, each approximately 300 g.
