delicious winter jam with a hint of banana

Peel the kiwi and banana and cut into small pieces. Split the vanilla pod with a knife and scrape out the seeds, then add it to the fruit in a large saucepan. Roughly chop everything with a hand blender. Add the preserving sugar (3:1 ratio) and bring to a boil on the stovetop. Boil gently for 4 minutes, then stir in the gelling agent. Immediately pour the jam, while still hot, into prepared jars with lids and seal tightly. Turn the jars upside down for one hour to prevent air bubbles from forming. For an even more vanilla flavor, cook the vanilla pod skin with the jam and fish it out when filling the jars. This jam is our absolute winter classic and makes enough for 4 jars of 250 ml each.
