Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 750 g leek, ready to cook, cut into finger-length pieces
  • 40 g butter
  • 125 ml water, hot
  • some salt
  • some nutmeg, freshly grated
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp water, cold, for mixing
  • 1 tbsp parsley, flat, chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Melt butter in a saucepan, heat the leeks briefly, add water, a pinch of salt and nutmeg, and simmer gently over low heat for about 30 minutes. Then thicken with cornstarch, season with salt and nutmeg, and serve sprinkled with parsley.
