Loes herbal tea

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 tsp, heaped peppermint, dried
  • 1 tsp, heaped rosehips, dried
  • 1 tsp, heaped lemon balm, dried
  • 1 tsp fennel seeds
  • 1 ½ liters of water
  • n. B. Honey
  • e.g. lemon juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 3 minutes; Rest time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 13 minutes

Grind the fennel seeds in a mortar just before preparing the tea. Pour 1.5 liters of boiling water over all ingredients, cover, and let steep for 10 minutes. Allow the condensed water (=essential oils) to drip back into the teapot. Strain. If desired, add a little honey or lemon to taste. To take with you, pour the tea immediately into a thermos while still hot. It’s good for you in summer and winter, and is suitable for outdoor activities. I got the recipe from a school friend’s grandmother; she knew what was good.
