Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 3 tbsp black loose tea
- 500 ml milk
- Rock sugar, coarse, as desired
Instructions
Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes
Brew tea with hot milk and let it steep for 5 minutes. Strain through a tea strainer. The tea should have the same color as if it had been poured over water. Place rock candy chunks in cups and pour over the tea-milk mixture. Do not stir. Note: This tea recipe comes from my British great-grandmother-in-law. Milk was much more watery back then. In modern German: Steep the tea only briefly, about 1-2 minutes in fat-free, watery milk.
