Macaroni with fried hunting sausage

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g pasta (macaroni)
  • 400 g sausage (hunting sausage in one piece)
  • 125 g butter
  • Salt
  • Oil (any kind)

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Cook the macaroni in salted water as directed. Meanwhile, dice the Jagdwurst, larger or smaller to taste. But be careful, no other sausage tastes as good with this simple dish as Jagdwurst. Fry these cubes in a pan until crispy. When the pasta is ready, drain and rinse well, and return it to the pot. Stir in the Jagdwurst. Put the butter in a small pan and fry until nicely browned. Be careful, it shouldn’t be yellow, but it shouldn’t be black or tending towards black either. Nice brown butter. Then add this to the macaroni and Jagdwurst, stir well, let it sit for 2 minutes, and then serve. Optionally, you can also sprinkle Parmesan or freshly grated cheese on top. Some people also like it with ketchup. So, that’s purely a matter of taste. But this dish is quick to prepare and tastes really delicious.
