Matjestatar on Bollard Bread with Mixed Salad

The perfect matjestatar on bollard bread with mixed salad recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

Matjestatar:

  • 4 Pc. Herring fillet
  • 5 disc Black bread
  • 0,5 Pc. Cucumber
  • 1 Pc. Apple
  • 0,5 Pc. Lemon
  • 1 cm Ginger
  • Colorful pepper

Mixed salad:

  • 100 g Lamb’S lettuce
  • 2 Pc. Carrots
  • 0,5 Pc. Lemon
  • 1 Pc. Cucumber
  • 5 Pc. Radish
  • Pomegranate seeds
  • 1 tbsp Mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Yogurt
  • 2 tbsp Cucumber water

Herring tartare on bollard bread:

  1. Peel and core the cucumber. Remove the core from the apple and cut into small cubes. Also cut the herring into small cubes. Mix everything together in a bowl. Season to taste with lemon juice, ginger and colored pepper.
  2. Arrange the matjestartar on the bread and garnish with a sprig of parsley.

Mixed salad:

  1. Rinse the lettuce thoroughly. Cut the cucumber and radishes into pieces of your choice. For the salad dressing, mix yogurt, mayonnaise and cucumber water. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  2. Pull the carrots over a grater. Then season the grate with lemon and pepper.
  3. For each guest, put salad in a small bowl and drizzle with dressing. Then pour the pomegranate seeds over the salad.
