Ingredients for 6 servings:
- 1.1 kg Maultasche(s)
- 300 ml vegetable stock
- 200 ml cream or milk
- 30 g butter
- 5 tbsp flour
- 1 tbsp parsley, chopped
- some nutmeg
- 1 pinch(s) sweet paprika powder
- 200 g cheese, grated (Emmental)
- n. B. cornstarch
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Cut the Maultaschen into 5 mm wide strips and place in a baking dish. Lightly fry the flour in the butter and pour in the vegetable stock and cream or milk, stirring constantly with a whisk. Add the parsley and spices and bring the sauce to a boil. If it’s too runny, stir a little cornstarch with cold water until smooth and add it. Pour the sauce over the Maultaschen and sprinkle with the cheese. Bake at 180°C for about 30 minutes. A fresh green salad goes perfectly with this sauce.
