Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 bunch rosemary
- 3 tbsp black peppercorns
- 1 tsp lavender, dried
- 1 kg salt, fine or coarse as desired
- 1 handful of tomatoes, dried (not pickled in oil!)
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
with rosemary, coarse pepper, lavender and dried tomatoes
Dry the rosemary. You can do this in a dehydrator, in the oven, or in the open air. The latter option will take about two days. Alternatively, you can also use pre-dried rosemary. Finely chop the rosemary and mix with the dried lavender flowers. Grind the peppercorns in a mortar and pestle and add them. Finely chop the sun-dried tomatoes and add them to the mixture. Place the salt in a large bowl and mix well with the other ingredients. Pour the seasoned salt into small twist-off jars and let it sit for at least a week before use. Suitable for seasoning all kinds of dishes (e.g., meat dishes, salads, quark, pasta sauces, etc.). It also makes a great little gift for friends and relatives, as it not only tastes good but is also very pleasing to the eye.
