Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 bell pepper(s)
- 150 g mushrooms
- 1 onion(s), red
- 250 ml red wine
- 200 g tomato paste
- 220 ml Metaxa
- 4 tbsp ajvar
- 200 g sour cream
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Finely chop the mushrooms and dice the bell peppers. Peel and dice the onion. Heat a pan with oil and sauté the onions and bell peppers. Add the mushrooms and sauté. Then deglaze with red wine. Add tomato paste and stir. Season with salt and pepper and add the Metaxa. Carefully (!) light the alcohol and let it burn. Then purée the sauce lightly. Add the paprika paste and finally stir in the sour cream.
