Ingredients

  • 1 kg Thuringian Mett / Hackepeter / Spiced Minced Pork
  • 1 tube Tomato paste
  • 1 can Chunky tomatoes - 400gr.
  • 100 g Roasted onions
  • 250 ml Cream
  • Some basil + pepper
  • Some margarine or butter to grease

Instructions

  • Grease the drip pan / baking sheet with a little margarine or butter.
  • The Thuringian Mett / Hackepeter / Spiced Minced Pork - depending on the region, the delicious "stuff" is called differently, but I hope you know what I mean - spread evenly into the drip pan.
  • Spread 1 / 2 - 3/4 tube of Tomarten Mark on it and spread it on.
  • Spread the can of chunky tomatoes with juice on top of the tomato paste. Then season with pepper. Cut 1 handful of basil leaves into small pieces and distribute them on top as well.
  • Spread the fried onions evenly over the tomatoes and then pour the cream over them.
  • I had the whole thing with 180-190 ° air circulation for about 45 minutes on the bottom rail in the oven. Be careful not to let the fried onions get too dark.
  • We served baguettes with it!
  • The dish was a blast at our last party !! Also tastes cold 🙂
