Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 600 g beef
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • 3 eggs
  • 10 g capers (from the jar)
  • 2 onions
  • 4 gherkins
  • ½ bunch parsley, fresh

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Saxon cuisine

Remove any tendons and skin from the beef. Cut the meat into pieces and mince it. Place the minced meat in a bowl and season with salt and pepper. Separate the eggs. Reserve the egg whites for another purpose. Stir the egg yolks into the meat mixture. Mash the capers with a fork and mix them into the meat. Let them stand for 10 minutes. Peel and chop the onions, and finely dice the gherkins. Wash the parsley, shake it dry, and chop it. Cut the minced meat into 4 equal pieces and arrange on plates. Garnish with the onions and gherkins and sprinkle with the parsley. Serve with buttered country bread.
