  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 2 cups sugar (approx. 300g)
  • 2 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 4 eggs

  • 1 tbsp milk
  • Powdered sugar or chocolate glaze

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Sift together the flour, baking powder, and baking soda into a mixing bowl. Add the sugar, vanilla sugar, eggs, margarine, and cream. Beat everything with a hand mixer on high for 2-3 minutes until you have a smooth batter. Pour one half into a greased, breadcrumb-coated dish. Stir the milk and cocoa into the other half and stir it into the light batter. Use a fork to spiral the batter through the batter. Bake for 1 hour at 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit) using top and bottom heat. Let the cake rest in the dish for 10 minutes, then cool on a wire rack. Sprinkle with powdered sugar or glaze with chocolate, if desired.
