Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 1 kg mirabelle plums, pitted
- 500 g gelling sugar, 2:1
- 5 tbsp schnapps (mirabelle spirit)
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes
Wash the mirabelle plums and remove the stones using a cherry pitter. Place them in a saucepan with the gelling sugar and stir well until the sugar slowly dissolves. Then add the schnapps and bring to a rolling boil for about 4 minutes. Rinse the twist-off jars with very hot water and dry them. Blend the mixture slightly with a hand blender, bring back to a boil, and pour the mixture into the prepared twist-off jars, still hot, to a level 1 cm below the rim. Screw the jars tightly shut and let stand upside down with the lids on for 5 minutes.
