  • 200 g rice flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar
  • Sunflower oil
  • Water, hot

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

Rice flour cakes from Madagascar

Mix the ingredients in a bowl until smooth. Add enough hot water so that it doesn’t drip but also doesn’t crumble. Remember that the rice flour will absorb a lot of water. Wrap the bowl in a towel and let it stand for an hour to allow the rice flour to swell. Sweeten with sugar to taste. Grease a tart or pie dish with sunflower oil and heat. Pour the batter into the holes and bake.
