Mozzarella baguettes baked

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 small baguette(s)
  • 2 packs of mozzarella
  • 2 beefsteak tomatoes
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • basil, fresh
  • Salt
  • Pepper, freshly ground
  • Butter or margarine
  • possibly oil (olive oil)

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Cut the baguette lengthwise and then halve it crosswise again. Brush with butter or margarine. Peel and chop the garlic cloves, and spread them on the baguette. Top the baguette with tomato slices and season with salt. Then top with basil leaves and mozzarella slices and grind fresh pepper over them. Drizzle with a little more olive oil, if desired. Bake in the oven at 150°C (plus grill if available) until the cheese is melted and the bread is lightly browned.
