Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 4 large potatoes
- 2 eggs
- Milk
- 1 pack of bacon
- nutmeg
- salt and pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Peel the potatoes and grate them into a bowl of cold water. Press out the starch by forming them into a ball and draining the water. Repeat this process 2-3 times. Finally, combine the mixture with the eggs and add a little cold milk until it forms a thick mixture. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Line an ovenproof dish with bacon and pour in the mixture. Then place strips of bacon on top and bake in the oven at 180°C for about 20 minutes. The bacon should develop a crust on top and the potato skull should be golden yellow. If it is already dark brown on top but still too runny, cover with aluminum foil and bake for a little longer. Serve warm with cucumber or tomato salad.
