Ingredients for 20 servings:
- 4 eggs
- 250 g sugar
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 150 ml oil
- 350 g flour
- 1 pack of baking powder, 150 ml multivitamin juice
- 2 cups of cream
- 2 packs of cream stiffener
- 2 cups sour cream
- 2 packets of vanilla sugar
- 3 can/n mandarin oranges or seasonal fruit e.g. strawberries, peaches, kiwi etc.
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Mix the ingredients together to make the batter, spread it on a baking sheet, and bake at 175 degrees Celsius for about 20 minutes. Prepare a cream and sour cream mixture from the ingredients for the topping. Whip the cream with vanilla sugar and cream stabilizer until stiff peaks form, then fold in the sour cream. Top the cooled base with the mandarins or other fruit and spread the cream and sour cream mixture over it. Garnish with chocolate sprinkles, if desired. I often bake the batter in advance. Halve it and freeze it. When needed, I take it out of the freezer, thaw it briefly, and top it as described above (using only half the mixture). This way, I always have a great cake ready for unexpected guests.
