Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg flour
  • 2 packets of baking powder
  • 250 g sugar
  • 4 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 170 g almond sticks
  • 500 g sultanas
  • 135 g candied lemon peel
  • 135 g candied orange peel
  • 500 g low-fat curd cheese
  • 3 eggs
  • 350 g butter or margarine
  • 50 g melted butter for spreading
  • 3 tbsp powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Preheat oven to 170 degrees Celsius. Sift flour and baking powder into a large bowl and mix thoroughly. Add all other ingredients at once and quickly knead everything with your hands. Form two equal-sized stollen. Line a baking sheet with baking paper and place the stollen next to each other. Place in the preheated oven and bake at approximately 170 degrees Celsius for about 75 minutes using top/bottom heat. Then, while the stollen is still hot, brush it with melted butter and sift the powdered sugar over it.
