Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 tomatoes
  • 2 onions, red
  • 500 g minced beef or lamb
  • 1 bag(s) of nachos or 2 bags, depending on size
  • 4 tbsp Jalapeño(s), pickled red
  • 4 tbsp Jalapeño(s), pickled green ones
  • 400 ml BBQ sauce
  • 500 g cheese, grated
  • Salt and pepper, freshly ground

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Cut the tomatoes into small pieces and dice the onions. Fry the minced meat in a pan until crumbly and season with salt and pepper. Spread half of the nachos on the bottom of a shallow, ovenproof dish, then spread half of the fried minced meat, half of the tomatoes, onions, and jalapeños on top. Pour half of the sauce over the nachos and sprinkle with half of the cheese. Layer until all of the nachos are used up. Depending on your taste, bake in the oven or in a closed grill until the cheese is melted. In an air fryer, it takes about 15 minutes at 160 degrees Celsius for the cheese to melt. Serve hot.
