Ingredients for 10 servings:

  • 250 g butter
  • 200 g sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 1 tbsp rum
  • 4 eggs
  • 400 g flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 150 g hazelnuts, ground
  • 125 ml milk
  • Hazelnuts, ground, for sprinkling the mold
  • 200 g powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp rum
  • some hazelnuts, halved

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Whisk the butter with the sugar, vanilla sugar, and rum until fluffy. Gradually add the eggs. Combine the flour and baking powder and stir into the foam mixture along with the ground hazelnuts and milk. Grease a springform pan and sprinkle with ground hazelnuts. Pour the batter into the pan and bake in a preheated oven at 175°C for 60-70 minutes. Cover the cooled cake with the rum glaze and garnish with halved hazelnuts.
