Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 100 g oat flakes
  • 35 g cornflakes
  • 200 g cottage cheese
  • 1 onion(s), finely chopped
  • Savory, fresh or dried
  • Parsley, finely chopped
  • 3 eggs
  • Salt and pepper (or Parisian pepper seasoning mix)
  • Clarified butter for the pan

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 25 minutes

Meatballs for vegetarians

Mix all ingredients thoroughly and let rest, covered, for 1 hour. Scoop out small portions with a teaspoon and shape into balls, then flatten them slightly. Pour fat into a pan, but do not allow it to get too hot. Slowly fry the patties over low heat until golden brown. Makes about 24 small patties. (Recipe editor’s note: Several users point out that it’s better to make 12 patties, otherwise you’ll end up with almost nothing but crust.) Serve with a salad. It also tastes great cold, making it perfect for a party.
