Orange licorice jelly

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 10 candies (licorice candies)
  • 400 g orange juice
  • 1 orange(s), zest
  • 300 g gelling sugar 2:1

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 30 minutes

for licorice lovers

Dissolve the licorice candies in the orange juice and orange zest. I do this in a bottle, shaking it frequently. Then let it steep for a while, which can be for 2 hours or overnight. Then pour through a sieve, mix with the sugar in a saucepan, and bring to a boil. Simmer for about 2 minutes, then pour into prepared jars. It doesn’t look that great, but it tastes good.
