Our favorite mulled wine jelly

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 600 ml red wine, dry
  • 3 bags of mulled wine spice
  • 150 ml orange juice, freshly squeezed
  • ½ lemon(s), juice
  • 4 cl rum
  • 400 g brown sugar
  • 1 sachet of Gelfix 2:1

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 4 minutes; Total time approx. 29 minutes

Heat the wine, remove from the heat, and let the mulled wine spice steep for 10 minutes. Then remove the spice. Add the orange juice, lemon juice, and rum. Mix the gelatin with 2 tablespoons of the sugar and add it as well. Bring to a rolling boil, then slowly add the remaining sugar. Boil for 3-4 minutes, stirring constantly. Tip: Use a large pot, as the jelly tends to foam up a lot. Pour the jelly into twist-off jars and seal immediately.
