Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 8 potatoes
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Caraway or
  • Paprika powder or
  • curry powder

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Peel the potatoes, halve them lengthwise, and cut them into sticks of equal size and thickness, not too thin (like French fries). In a bowl, combine the oil, salt, and crushed garlic with the potato sticks. Place the “fries” on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Do not stack them on top of each other! Bake at approximately 200–250°C (fan oven) for 10–20 minutes. Season the fries with caraway, paprika, or curry powder, depending on your taste.
